Ricardo Hylton

Media Director

Ricardo Hylton was born in Saint Catherine, Jamaica. Along with his mother, Angela Grant, he  migrated to the United States at age eleven. Ricardo later went on to attend the Roger L. Putman Vocational High School where he enrolled in the Automotive Curriculum. Here, he would obtain his first introduction and experience to the world of troubleshooting.
This background awarded him employment at Hasbro where he worked as a Machine Operator for 8 years, performing on an array of mechanical machinery and troubleshooting diagnostics. It wasn’t until after being laid off due to company downsizing, that Ricardo began to shift his career focus.
Ricardo went on to attend college majoring in Business Administration but found much fulfillment in Information Technology (IT). He would go on to capitalize numerous opportunities, furthering his education in this area, and his journey as an IT specialist had finally begun.
Today, Ricardo is a proud employee of the MassMutual Life Insurance Company where he serves as the Lead Engineer of the Site Reliability Engineering Team (SRE Team). He leads this team in partnering with developers and IT Architecture to create automated solutions hosted on various public cloud platforms.
At thirty-four years of age, Ricardo is happily and lovingly married to his wife of eight years, Monique Hylton. Together, they are the proud parents of three handsome boys... Ricardo Hylton Jr, Liam Hylton, and Zayne Hylton. Ricardo’s years of experience has shaped his overall outlook on IT. He believes that there are individuals that work in the IT departments, and then there are individuals who consider themselves to be Technologists that are employed by a company. He strives to be the latter, one who applies the use of technology to overcome day-to-day challenges whether at work, home, school, or church settings.
